Yves Van de Vloet

Associate Expert, European Forum for Urban Security (Efus)

Yves is an associate expert at the European Forum for Urban Security (Efus). Specialising in border security, he has worked on the ALARM project, which aims to develop cross-border operational cooperation between civil security actors in France and Belgium on a broad spectrum of risks. He was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of the Hainaut Province and to the President-Minister of the Brussels-Capital Region, and Director of the Crime Prevention Department at the Belgian Ministry of the Interior. He has also taught at the University of Liège and at various police schools and training academies.
