Véronique Borré

Eighth Vice-President, in charge of Security, Defence, Support to Law Enforcement and Innovation for a peaceful region, Provence-Alpes-Côtes d'Azur Region (France)

Véronique Borré was born in Dunkirk in 1974. She is married with 2 children. Véronique Borré holds a scientific baccalaureate with honors, a post-graduate diploma (DESS) in business law and taxation, and was awarded the "attachée territoriale" competitive examination in 2008. She has worked as a trainer in the fields of law, economics, management and accounting. She then worked as a parliamentary attaché at the French National Assembly.

From 2011 to 2019, Véronique was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Mayor and President of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis, in charge of issues related to security, justice and relations

In 2020, the Environmental Health Safety and Risk Management Agency, responsible for anticipating, preparing for and coordinating crisis situations, was created under the direction of Véronique. This municipal and metropolitan structure was mobilised during Storm Alex, coordinating the various players on the ground in terms of material and human resources, as well as the care of disaster victims. She was subsequently mobilised to manage the health crisis and vaccinate the population at one of France's largest vaccination centres, in addition to welcoming and caring for Ukrainian refugees since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

In 2021, Véronique Borré was elected Vice-President of the South Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur Region. She is responsible for security, defense, support for law enforcement agencies and innovation, in the service of a peaceful region.

Véronique Borré was awarded the Médaille de la Sécurité intérieure following the attack on 14th July 2016, and named Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite in February 2023.
