In 2001, Valerie Dujardin began working for a local authority as a social mediator, then passed the exam to become a municipal police officer that same year. In 2015, she took on the position of local security and crime prevention council coordinator alongside her role as a municipal police officer. In 2020, in partnership with the French Forum for Urban Security (FFSU), she gained a Master’s degree in Security and urban life. In June 2023, she joined the local security and crime prevention council of the City of Nice as head of department.
