Civil Protection Engineer, Setúbal Municipality (Portugal)

Nuno holds a degree in Civil Protection Engineering and a Masters in Strategy from the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lisbon. He has been a professional firefighter since 1993, and has worked for the Municipal Civil Protection Service of the City of Setúbal since 2002. In this capacity, he is involved in risk management, exercise planning, emergency response, strategic planning and international networking within the European Forum for Urban Security and the UN campaign Making Resilient Cities 2023. He has been a speaker and moderator at several national and international events. He is also the author of several articles published in technical and scientific journals.
