Director of Safety, Prevention and Cohabitation, City of Barcelona (Spain)

Maite Casado has been Director of Security, Prevention and Cohabitation for the City of Barcelona since June 2019. Previously, she was Director General of the Department of the Interior of the Government of Catalonia. Her entire professional career has been linked to the field of public safety, including gender violence, security and gender, police and emergency force management and private security. She has taught in the field of public security and police law at the University of Barcelona and the Public Security Institute of Catalonia.
