Project coordinator, Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis - INT (Germany)

Maike Vollmer has a degree in Geography and a PhD in security studies. She is a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis – INT in Euskirchen, Germany. She works on innovation management in the fields of resilience and disaster management, in EU projects as well as national initiatives. Before joining Fraunhofer INT in 2013, Maike was a researcher at the Institute for Environment and Human Security of the United Nations University. Currently, she coordinates the EU Horizon 2020 project RiskPACC which develops solutions to strengthen two-way communication between civil protection authorities and citizens.
