Deputy Director, Nordic Safe Cities (Denmark)

Lotte Fast Carlsen is Deputy Director at Nordic Safe Cities and has been part of the founding team since its establishment in 2016. She has 8 years’ experience in social entrepreneurship and sustainable development from, among others, working with health issues in Ethiopia and building public-private partnerships and alliances for handling critical societal issues.

At Nordic Safe Cities, she works to drive change, fostering new solutions and partnerships for more cohesive and democratic societies across national and local governments, civil society, and youth organisations. 

She is responsible for the development of the Safe Digital City initiative on how to build up safer online spaces and identify new methods to deal with the increasing hate, discrimination, polarisation and radicalisation in online spaces.
