Advisor to the Mayor of Cali (Colombia) and to the Alvaralice Foundation

Juan Camilo Cock Misas is advisor on social prevention of violence to the Mayor of Cali, Colombia, and part of Fundación Alvaralice, a civil society organisation working on peacebuilding. From 2016-2019 Juan Camilo led the city of Cali´s strategy for reducing spatial inequality and co-designed the Peace and Opportunities (PAZOS) strategy for the city of Palmira that was awarded the UCLG Peace Prize in 2022. Since 2021, he has been part of Compromiso Valle, a major private sector initiative to address youth violence and lack of opportunities in the southwest Colombia. He is a member of the advisory council of the Resilience Fund of the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime.
