Chief Superintendent, Gandia Local Police (Spain)

Chief Superintendent of the Gandia local police force in Valencia, José Martínez Espasa holds a doctorate in criminology and a law degree from the University of Valencia, as well as a master's degree in forensic science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He is a professor at the Police Academy of the Valencian Community (IVASPE) and a collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) in the fields of security policy and criminology. He is the author of several articles in scientific journals, and the author of the publication Politiques de sécurité publique (2016) published by Tirant Lo Blanch.
