Before joining Gams, Jente was a lawyer at the Ghent bar, where she specialized in immigration law, family law and private international law. In particular, she works on cases involving asylum seekers who have been victims or are at risk of being victims of gender-based and sexual violence, such as female genital mutilation. This is how she discovered Gams, whose feminist activism immediately won her over. Since September 2023, Jente has joined Gams' Brussels and Flemish teams as a legal officer.
