Managing Director, BAG RelEx | National Committee on Religiously Motivated Extremism (Germany)

Jamuna Oehlmann holds degrees in Asian Studies (BA) and International Studies and Diplomacy (MA) from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London (UK) and Humboldt University in Berlin (Germany). Her academic experience focuses on security studies, the prevention of extremism and the link between terrorism and organized crime. Jamuna is Executive Director of BAG RelEx (the National Committee on Religiously Motivated Extremism). She helped set up the organization, where she promotes the work of civil society organizations in preventing Islamism. Since 2020, she has also been coordinator of the "Islamist Extremism" competence network (KN:IX /www.kn-ix.de), which brings together a wide range of stakeholders in the field of preventing and combating extremism.
