Chairman of the Corsican Executive Council, Collectivité de Corse (France)

Gilles Simeoni is President of the Corsican Executive Council, the executive body of the Collectivité de Corse. On November 18, 2022, the institution organized an extraordinary session of the Corsican Assembly devoted to mafia aberrations, which resulted in the adoption of a solemn resolution formalizing an unprecedented initiative: the opening of a 5-month work cycle, bringing together elected representatives and representatives of civil society, around 5 thematic workshops. Now that this cycle of work has been completed, the Corsican Executive Council is working on a report to be put to the vote of the Assembly, which will analyze all the proposals put forward by the workshops and propose concrete recommendations and decisions to combat mafia-style crime and organized crime.
