Gian Guido Nobili

Gian Guido Nobili is Director of Urban Security at the Department of Local Police and Crime Prevention of the Emilia-Romagna Region (Italy). Since 2013, Gian Guido has been the national coordinator of the Italian Forum for Urban Security. He oversees research programs, projects and data systems concerning urban security, crime prevention and organized crime. Since 2006, he has been a member of the European Society of Criminology (ESC) and a founding member of the European Public Safety Governance Network. His theoretical and empirical work focuses on policing, urban security and crime prevention, the evaluation of crime reduction programs, hooliganism and organized crime. His publications focus on these subjects. He has spoken at over 250 national and international conferences on urban security and crime prevention, and has lectured at several Italian universities and police academies.
