Executive Director, Canadian Centre for Safer Communities (Canada) 

Felix joined the Canadian Centre for Safer Communities in 2015 as Executive Director. He has over 25 years' experience in strategic planning and working with a wide range of people, including Aboriginal and disadvantaged communities. A psychiatric nurse by training, his experience spans the fields of community security , mental health and addiction, equity, diversity, inclusion, organizational capacity building and collaboration. He holds a master's degree in environmental studies and a doctorate in community psychology. More recently, he has worked specifically on the impacts of climate change on community security , as well as on the assessment and monitoring of community security.
