Christian Hochgrebe has been serving as the State Secretary for the Interior in Berlin’s Senate Department for the Interior and Sport since April 2023. He has previously been active in various roles within the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), including Member of the Berlin House of Representatives (2018-2021), Chair of Working Group on Public Security and Constitutional Issues for the SPD faction (2021-2023), and spokesperson. Mr. Hochgrebe has been an active member of several parliamentary committees, addressing key legislative matters. He is a legal professional with a background in Tenancy and Condominium Law and has been practicing law since 2006. Mr. Hochgrebe has a significant political presence, having represented the SPD Berlin in various leadership capacities and participated in investigative committees.
