Analyst, safe.brussels Observatory (Belgium)

After a course of study and research in linguistics, Aline has been an analyst at the Observatory of safe.brussels, the public interest organization responsible for coordinating prevention and security policies in the Brussels-Capital Region, since 2016. One of the Observatory's missions is to improve knowledge of crime and safety-related phenomena in the region. The Observatory's "Image" unit thus works to collect existing data, but also to produce new data, on a wide range of themes. Aline deals more specifically with violence against women, domestic violence and discrimination, in particular based on sexual orientation and gender identity, for which the Observatory has set up, with several partners, a project to collect reports in order to improve reporting.
