Aleksi Kopponen is Director of Digital Transformation at the City of Tampere, focusing on enhancing the city's digital transformation capabilities. He aims to drive digital innovation using his expertise in human-centric digitalisation and data-driven technologies, prioritising positive changes for the city and its residents. Previously, Aleksi was leading initiatives in Human-Centric AI Transformation and developing cross-sectoral service ecosystems at the Ministry of Finance, with significant involvement in government digitalisation projects.

Parallel to his professional duties, Aleksi is doing a PhD at Aalto University, where he is studying Digital Twin technology to ensure that technology contributes to the well-being of citizens in society.
